Tree Safety Surveys & Reports

Liability tree reports helps tree owners and managers meet their legal obligation in regard to tree safety. Working to the National Tree Safety Group guidelines we can assist you in striking the right balance between tree risk management and the financial and environmental costs of tree work. BS5837:2012 Surveys & Reports

Typically a mandatory planning requirement where trees are present and representing the foundation of the ‘Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction’ framework. Arboricultural Impact Assessments

Having taken into consideration the findings of the original BS5837 tree report a design proposal is then formulated. Arboricultural Method Statements

Once approved, the planning application will be conditioned requiring the details of any tree works, as well as protection measures for retained trees. Tree Preservation Order Advice

Acting in contravention of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) is a legal offence. Similar protections also apply to most trees growing in Conservation Areas. Watson Lindsey Arboriculture can assist you in effectively managing such trees whilst staying on the right side of the law.

Decay Detection Diagnostics

Where desirable trees pose risks due to decay it’s often necessary to accurately assess the extent of deterioration. Either through inhouse solutions or via our industry partners we can provide decay detection drilling, sonic tomography, compressed air soil displacement and stability modelling.

Subsidence & Tree Rooting Issues

Tree roots can damage underground structures such as foundations and drains, in a number of ways. To ascertain if a tree is causing damage, and what can be done about it, often requires input from an arboriculturist and/or a structural engineer. Mortgage & Insurance Reports

Such financial institutions have a vested interest in the condition of properties for which they are providing related services. As trees can harm buildings in several ways (e.g. via tree failure, or tree induced subsidence) such stakeholders may require a tree safety survey and report on any trees within influencing distance of the property.
